G009756 IMPERIAL GERMAN COMMEMORATIVE DONATION BOX/BANK. (Geschenk-Kasten) Very attractive, hand crafted donation box. Top lid of the box has a very nice image of a 1914 Iron cross 1st class. Some minor flaking to the black sections. Box measures 4.5" x 3.5" x 2.5". Double hinges to the reverse side (one needs to be repaired). There is a metal reinforced donation slot on the back side of the upper slip, that I assume is to depsoit coins into. Box does have a locking mechanism, but it no longer functions. Very attractive EK related display item.
