G003363 PRUSSIAN SERGEANT'S COLLAR INSIGNIA. (Sergentenknöpfe) Three approximately 30mm diameter, stamped alloy collar devices for a Prussian sergeant (similar devices for the rank of "Gefreiter" were 25mm diameter). To each of their slightly convex obverses is the crowned Prussian eagle, with "FR" (for Friedrich Rex, emperor of Prussia) to its breast. To each of their slightly concave reverses is a central "eye," through which are fed metal rings. Two are a matched pair and maker marked "C.T.D" & "EXTRA FEIN". The third example is marked "C.S.". The matched pair are made from brass while the single is from zinc with a painted front.
