G001660 COMBAT ENGINEER'S PICK-AXE. (Spitzhacke) The axe consist of a wooden handle that is 14" long by 2" wide at its thickest point. Unmarked, but definitely WW1 German. The metal part is 10" long by 1" wide. Typical surface pitting. The tip appears to still be quite sharp. Axe is in very good condition, showing normal age for being 100 years old. Decent example.
