G001066 NATIONAL FORESTRY SERVICE, SENIOR FORESTER'S CUTLASS. (Forstmeisters Hirschfänger) Very ornate, early example (late 1800's or early 1900's). Stag grip with three acorns. Brass cross guard. Roughly 50cm long, triple etched blade. Blade is now age darkened. Nice complete leather and brass scabbard with extra pocket for a smaller dagger (not present). Beautiful craftsmanship, good condition for its age.
